About the author
Edward R. Pease (1857-1955) was an English writer and founder of the Fabian Society. Growing up with fourteen brothers and sisters, and became a stock-broker before devoting his time to the socialist movement. He was also involved in the formation of the Labour Party and the establishment of the London School of Economics.
