This volume contains eight chapters that detail advances in psychology research. Chapter One compares the change in work centrality among individuals, both those who did experience and those who did not experience meaningful occupational and life events, over the course of twelve years. Chapter Two examines the pathology of depressive disorders and provides an overview of evidence-based psychotherapies for this common and debilitating disorder. Chapter Three integrates literature on habit formation, prosocial development, and positive interventions to describe evidence-based strategies for promoting prosocial habits. Chapter Four focuses on the influence of the coloured brain on the relationship between leadership and organizational performance. Chapter Five reviews some fundamental theoretical approaches to the role of gender in conflict resolution, as well as relevant studies that bridge the gap between gender, negotiation and mediation. Chapter Six focuses on deficits in visual processing in children with developmental dyslexia. Chapter Seven discusses the training practices and psychometric tests for children with developmental dyslexia. Lastly, Chapter Eight presents a qualitative study on individual and social stressors, positive and negative coping mechanisms, and facilitators along the development of transgender-women identity from the perspective of 9 transgender women.
