Ghaam is a coming-of-age story of a troubled young man, who is burdened by the feeling of emptiness and finds his life unfulfilling. Being dissatisfied with the urban life, he quits his job but unable to find his calling, he begins indulging in the various human vices to numb his pain, eventually he falls into depression and becomes suicidal. When he is not able to end his life, he takes a leap of faith and embarks on a new journey to a familiar place which leads him to rediscover the zest for life and along the way he also gains a new found perspective on life. The book explores self-discovery and spiritual fulfilment, questions pervasive conformity and offers hope to those who cannot fit into conventional patterns.
