Sobre el autor

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a British writer best known for his detective fiction featuring the character Sherlock Holmes. Originally a physician, in 1887 he published A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and more than fifty short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson. The Sherlock Holmes stories are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.
Gilbert Keith Chesterton was an English writer, poet, philosopher, dramatist, journalist, orator, lay theologian, biographer, and literary and art critic. Chesterton is often referred to as the ‘prince of paradox’. Time magazine has observed of his writing style: ‘Whenever possible Chesterton made his points with popular sayings, proverbs, allegoriesfirst carefully turning them inside out.’ Chesterton is well known for his fictional priest-detective Father Brown, and for his reasoned apologetics. Even some of those who disagree with him have recognised the wide appeal of such works as Orthodoxy and The Everlasting Man. Chesterton routinely referred to himself as an ‘orthodox’ Christian, and came to identify this position more and more with Catholicism, eventually converting to Catholicism from High Church Anglicanism.
Robert Barr (16 September 1849 21 October 1912[1]) was[2] a Scottish-Canadian short story writer and novelist, born in Glasgow, Scotland. Robert Barr was well-spoken, well-cultured due to travel, and considered a ‘socializer.’
Ernest Bramah (20 March 1868 27 June 1942), whose name was recorded after his birth as Ernest Brammah Smith, was an English author. He published 21 books and numerous short stories and features.
Edward Phillips Oppenheim was an English novelist, in his lifetime a major and successful writer of genre fiction including thrillers.
