Everyone must tread down the selected path laid before the feet at birth. Some choose to walk hazzardly, others are destined to be thrust down this uncertainly, dangerous path that tests their limits of survival. David Ferguson was born in 1995, in the small city of Maple Ridge, and grew up mainly in Pitt Meadows, a neighboring town. He comes from a fairly poor background, as his parents are mentally ill and were unable to take appropriate care of him and his mentally-ill brother. For this reason, David had been bounced around between various foster homes before being left by the ministry of family and children development for twelve warping years in his parent’s unstable home. His schooling experience was mixed, but toward the latter years of high school in Pitt Meadows, he discovered an aptitude for writing excellent poetry, which mainly delved into the darker corners of his horrendous past. He has participated well in two poetry slams at SFU, winning the audience. Currently, David works at a local food chain restaurant called Earls Bridge Park as a dishwasher / line cook.
