He has contributed numerous articles to books and history journals in the USA, UK and Ireland and is the author of Portlaw, County Waterford, 1825-1876: Portrait of an Industrial Village and its Cotton Industry and Sport and Society in Victorian Ireland: The Case of Westmeath.
