‘The Trial’ is a novel written by Franz Kafka between 1914 and 1915 and published posthumously in 1925. The basic argument of the novel is the concept of justice (understood as constituted power). In fact, in this work, a group of various characters passively accept the inevitability of justice, its self-referential and unfathomable logic. However, the one who rebels, with his rationality and mental lucidity, is the protagonist Joseph K., accused and tried for mysterious reasons.
