Jarmo Saarti acted as the Library Director of the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) from 2010 till 2021. He is adjunct professor (docent) both in the University of Oulu and in the University of Tampere. He has specialized in the knowledge organization of fiction, translations of Chinese literature to Finnish and in the management of libraries.
