This book provides a comprehensive review of the interventions of remote sensing (RS), geographic information system (GIS), and geostatistics in sustainable land resources management. Soil erosion, land degradation, and soil pollution are among the most threatening issues to sustainable management. This book addresses the utilization of the latest techniques (such as machine learning and artificial intelligence) to identify, monitor, and resolve these issues. Additionally, the book introduces the utilization of GIS technology to detect the effect of natural hazards (such as, floods) on land resources and human lives. Land degradation is also a huge threat to land resources, especially in arid and semi-arid regions, and can be detected and monitored using different geo-informatics tools. Furthermore, the book introduces semi-automatic methods combined with multivariate techniques for landscape management. Finally, the required soil property assessment can be achieved using traditional laboratory approaches and includes preliminary state-of-the-art proximal sensors.
