John Gibney is a historian with the Royal Irish Academy’s Documents on Irish Foreign Policy project. Prior to this he finished a Ph D at Trinity College Dublin and worked in heritage tourism in Dublin for over fifteen years. His books include Dublin: A New Illustrated History (2017) and A Short History of Ireland, 1500–2000 (2017).
