Bernhard Robben, geboren 1955, ist seit 1992 als Übersetzer tätig. Er übertrug und überträgt u.a. die Werke von Ian Mc Ewan, John Burnside, John Williams und Salman Rushdie ins Deutsche. 2003 wurde er mit dem Straelener Übersetzerpreis der Kunststiftung NRW ausgezeichnet, 2013 mit dem Ledig-Rowohlt-Preis für sein Lebenswerk geehrt. Er lebt in Brunne, Brandenburg.
