Lisa Tilley teaches Political Ecology and Political Economy at SOAS, University of London. Her research spans socioecological dynamics of plantations and mines, the political economy of race, and the subject of historical and contemporary populationism in relation to ecology. She has worked with Indigenous and peasant communities in Indonesia, exploring counter-mapping as resistance, and her work has appeared in journals such as Antipode and New Political Economy.
