M. Ravichandran is Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Management, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalii. He received research training in Environmental Economics under the supervision of Prof. M.V. Nadkarni. former Professor of Ecological Economics unit, ISEC, Bangalore and the former Vice-Chancellor of Gulburga University, Karnataka. Dr. Ravichandran is a Fulbrighte recipient of the Fulbright Award for Indo-American Environmental Leadership Programme (IAELP) and visited the , Western Michigan University, USA during September-October 2004. He has several publications of research articles to his credit. And he undertook three major and two minor research projects on various economic aspects of environment. S. Boopathi is Lecturer, Department of Economics. Bharathiar University, Coimba’ore. He received his doctoral degree from the same university Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He rendered assistance to Prof. Haruka Yanagisawa, Institute of Oriental Culture University of Tokyo in completing his research project. Dr. Boopathi is well trained in computer applications to statistical analysis. He offers a course in Environmental Economics at the Post-graduate and M.Phil. Level in Bharathiar University. He has published a number of research papers in referred journals.
