Frances Separovic is a biophysical chemist and deputy director of the Bio21 Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia. Her research group studies the structure and dynamics of molecules in biological membranes, with a focus on peptide antibiotics and toxins, primarily using solid-state NMR techniques. Frances is a Fellow of the Biophysical Society, International Society of Magnetic Resonance and the Australian Academy of Science. Additionally, she»s been awarded an IUPAC Distinguished Women of Chemistry and an Officer of the Order of Australia. Marc-Antoine Sani is a senior research fellow at the School of Chemistry, University of Melbourne. His expertise precesses around DNP NMR and solid-state NMR of biomolecules, with a particular focus on in-cell studies. He obtained his Ph D jointly from Umeå University and Bordeaux University. He is an editorial board member of ANZMAGazine and the Victorian representative for the Australian Society for Biophysics.
