Maurice Jackson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and reared in the church and notably around gospel music. His mother was a professional gospel singer who was the featured vocalist on several recordings. At school, Maurice developed an early interest in music, but his mother always thought he would become a writer because of a poem he wrote her as a child. Maurice has served as minister of music and also as a musician at several churches in the tri-state area. He is a professional gospel recording artist, producer, writer, and the CEO of VMJ Entertainment. This is his first book, which truly comes as a surprise to him, despite his mother’s belief in his talent as a writer. His prayer is that the ideas in his book opens some serious discussion in our churches and the world at large.
