Marinela Burada is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Letters at Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania, where she is currently Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. Her professional interests and research work fall within the scope of contrastive rhetoric, lexicography, and contact linguistics. She is the author and co-author of several books and articles in these fields, including the monograph Rhetorical Features in Student Persuasive Writing: Towards a Contrastive Approach. She has also been acting as editor of the proceedings of the Conference on British and American Studies since its first edition, in 2003.Oana Tatu is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Letters at Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania, and has a PhD in Linguistics. She is currently teaching Literary Translation, Linguistics, and Renaissance English Literature. Her research and professional interests have materialized in several publications in these fields; the most notable of which is the monograph Translating Shakespeare: The Challenge of the Romanian Language. Since 2011, she has also co-organized the Conference on British and American Studies, an academic forum hosted by Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania.
