Dr. S.K. Singh passed his M.A. and Ph.D (BHU) in Geography. He is now Reader in the Department of Geography, Kumaun University Campus, Almora. He has been a co-editor of the book on Geography and Environment: Issues and Challenges published from the Concept. Dr. Singh is actively engaged in geographical, environmental and development issues in Kumaun region. He has supervised several Ph.D. level researches under him on the related topics including tourism. He is author of over 40 research papers.
