Joseph P. Mc Cormick II is twice retired from Howard University (associate professor of political science) and the York campus of the Pennsylvania State University (Emeritus Director of Academic Affairs). He has published on the 1984 Jesse Jackson campaign, co-authored a book chapter on the pivotal concept, deracialization, and the 1995 Million Man March. He is past president of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (1999-2000) and a member of the Council of the American Political Science Association (2010-2011).
