Udai Pratap Rao is associated with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SV National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India. He received a Ph.D. degree from SVNIT, in 2014. His research interests include information security & privacy, privacy in location-based service, big data privacy, security and trust management in online social networks, security and privacy in the internet of things and cyber-physical systems, distributed computing. He has published about 65 papers extensively in journals and refereed conference proceedings. He has supervised 03 Ph.D. thesis in the fields of data privacy and security. He serves as a reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals.
Sankita Patel received her Ph.D. from S. V. National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, in 2015. She is presently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SVNIT, Surat. Her research interests focus on applied research ininformation security and privacy in various domains like the internet of things, cyber-physical systems, online social networks, data analytics, cloud computing, big data, etc. She has co-authored several papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Pethuru Raj is a chief architect and vice president in the Jio Cloud Services division of Reliance Jio Platforms Ltd. Bangalore. He has over 20 years of IT industry experience and 08 years of research experience. He completed his Ph.D. degree at Anna University, Chennai, and continued with the UGC-sponsored postdoctoral research in the Department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He was granted a couple of international research fellowships (JSPS and JST) to work as a research scientist for 3.5 years in two leading Japanese universities. He has published over 30 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored/edited 20 books, and contributed 35 book chapters for various technology books edited by highly acclaimed and accomplished professors and professionals. His research interests focus on emerging technologies such as the internet of things, artificial intelligence, big and fast data analytics, blockchain, digital twins, cloud-native computing, edge/fog clouds, reliability engineering, microservices architecture, event-driven architecture (EDA), etc.
Andrea Visconti received his Ph.D. from Università degli Studi di Milano, in 2005. He has been a contract professor at Università degli Studi dell’Insubria (2005), Università degli Studi di Trento (2015-2018), and guest researcher to NIST (Feb 2012). Since 2006, he holds a tenured position as an assistant professor of Computer Science at the Università Degli Studi di Milano. His research interests focus on cryptography, coding theory, and information security, both theoretical and applied. He is a co-author of about 50 papers. He has served as a guest co-editor for special issues on the Internet of Things (Elsevier) and Security and Communication Networks (Wiley/Hindawi). Currently, he is a Topic Editor of Mathematics (MDPI) and Associate Editor of the Iran Journal of Computer Science (Springer). Dr. Visconti leads the Crypto and Coding Theory group (CLUB) at Università Degli Studi di Milano.
