Emma and Matthew went to the public library to complete a science project last minute, and ended up on the most exciting adventure of their young lives! As they accidently stumble into a fantasy world of dragons, wizards, and mud spitting rats, they learn that they were actually summoned by the good wizard to help him save the creatures of Lilagold land from destruction and chaos. They bravely choose to accept their journey, however on the way, they also learn that working together and helping each other will help them overcome the magical obstacles that lie before them. Will they be able to stick together and use their magic and brain power to overcome the evil Lizard, and save the fate of Lilagold land? Will they ever get their science project done in time for Ms. Simmons?

Amanda Miller grew up in West Milford, New Jersey and is currently living in New York City. She is a fourth grade teacher in Manhattan’s PS 2 Meyer London School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Education at the University of North Carolina and minored in English and Communications. She also received her Master’s degree in Special Education. Amanda enjoys writing for children, including both her past and present students. She feels that children can learn and enjoy her style of modern, humorous fantasy literature.
Amanda strives to be both detailed and original when writing fantasy. Her story is interesting and fun, while also including several important underlying lessons for children to remember while growing up. She hopes to create more literature for children in different genres in the near future.
