Prof. Dr.-Ing.habil. Dr.h.c.mult. Holm Altenbach is a member of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics,  and the International Research Center on Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems (M&Mo CS), Italy. He has held positions at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg and Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, both in Germany. He graduated from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute in 1980 (diploma in Dynamics and Strength of Machines) and was awarded his Ph.D. degree in 1983 and his Doctor of Technical Sciences degree in 1987 at the same institute. He is currently a retired professor of Engineering Mechanics at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg,  Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Mechanics (since 2011), where he has been acting director since 2015. His areas of scientific interest include General theory of elastic and inelastic plates and shells; Creepand damage mechanics; Strength theories, and Nano- and micromechanics.  In 2019, he was elected as foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and in 2021 of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.   Prof. Dr hab. Victor A. Eremeyev is a member of the American Mathematical Society and the International Research Center on Mathematics and Mechanics of Complex Systems (M&Mo CS), Italy. His employment history includes positions at Rostov State University/Southern Federal University and Southern Scientific Center of Russian Academy of Sciences, Rostov-on-Don, Russia; at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany; at Rzeszow University of Technology, Rzeszów; at the Gdańsk University of Technology, Gdańsk, Poland; and Università di Cagliari, Italy. He was awarded his Doctor of Science of Physics & Mathematics at the Institute of Problems of Mechanical Engineering of Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg (title: Mechanics of two-phase bodies with microstructure under finite deformations).  His areas of scientific interests are General theory of elastic and inelastic shells and its applications; Cosserat shells and plates; theory of plates and shells made of functionally graded material, foams, etc.; and modeling of the phase transitions in shells and films; Theory of continuum media with microstructures such as micropolar fluids, Cosserat media, strain gradient elasticity, porous media, foams, nanostructures, and metamaterials; Nonlinear elasticity; nonlinear mechanics of elastic and inelastic media with phase transformations; mathematical modeling of shape memory alloys; and martensite phase transitions; and Nano- and micromechanics.   Prof. Dr Leonid A. Igumnov  is doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, and head of the Department of Theoretical, Computer and Experimental Mechanics of National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. He is honorary worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation. He is one of the talented representatives of the scientific school of strength of materials, founded by Professor A.G. Ugodchikov (1920-2007). His research interests include models of the mechanics of damaged medium; methods for assessing the strength and service life of materials and structures under quasi-static and cyclic loading conditions with account for the fields of various physical nature; and experimental and theoretical approach to studying the dynamics and failure of materials subjected to high-speed loading.   Prof. Dr Anatoliy Bragov—doctor of Technical Sciences, professor, and head of the laboratory of the Research Institute for Mechanics of National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod—is one of the representatives of the scientific school of strength of materials, founded by Professor A.G. Ugodchikov (1920-2007). He is a recognized specialist in the field of dynamic strength of materials and structural elements, experimental mechanics of deformable solids and physics of fast processes. The scientific activity of him for more than 40 years is inextricably linked with the development and creation of the latest experimental methods and studies of the processes of high-speed deformation and destruction of materials of various physical nature (metals and alloys, nanomaterials, polymers and composites, ceramics, wood, soils, rocks, etc.) under intense impacts of the microsecond range.
