Born in a shotgun two-room shack in rural Oklahoma as the only child of a cattleman, Anna’s only escape from the loneliness and boredom was in the books she read. In her yearning for the companionship of young people her age, she lived through the exciting and interesting lives of the characters in the books. For years, she corresponded with a pen pal from Great Britain, who sent her wonderful mystery books, and that was when she discovered the joy of sharing her life and her deepest feelings through writing. This passion for reading and writing, as well as her love for children, played a big role in her decision to become an English teacher and school counselor. Anna resides with her husband in a small Oklahoma town, where she enjoys growing flowers, reading, and being with her grandchildren.
