Charlotte Perkins Gilman (July 3, 1860 – August 17, 1935), also known as Charlotte Perkins Stetson, her first married name, was an American humanist, novelist, writer of short stories, poetry and nonfiction, and a lecturer for social reform.
Kate Chopin (February 8, 1850 – August 22, 1904) was an American author of short stories and novels based in Louisiana.
Gertrude Stein (February 3, 1874 – July 27, 1946) was an American novelist, poet, playwright, and art collector.
Edith Wharton (January 24, 1862 – August 11, 1937) was an American novelist, short story writer, and designer.
Edith Nesbit (15 August 1858 – 4 May 1924) was an English author and poet; she published her books for children under the name of E. Nesbit.
Susan Glaspell (July 1, 1876 – July 28, 1948) was an American playwright, novelist, journalist and actress.
Kathleen Mansfield (14 October 1888 – 9 January 1923) was a prominent modernist writer who was born and brought up in New Zealand.
