Dr Bezen Balamir Coskun is an international relations scholar. After several years of teaching and research experience in higher education institutions, she is now working as the founder and president of Izmir Policy Centre, Turkey. Since 2011, she has been conducting research on human security challenges that Syrian refugees are facing in Turkey, and has published articles, book chapters and policy briefs related to the subject.Dr Selin Yildiz Nielsen is the co-founder and president of Glocally Connected, having worked in international education for the last 20 years. She has led projects providing educational assistance to teachers in Syrian refugee camps in Southeast Turkey. Her work was carried out in four camps and included training in cross-cultural integration, conflict, and trauma management.
