The baby drinks milk. What about the dino baby? The baby sleeps in the cradle. What about the dino baby? The baby takes a bath. What about the dino baby? In the book ‘What about baby dino?’, the reader will find a short story full of humor in the text and illustrations, built around phrases that are repeated and become a catchphrase to be repeated out loud once, twice, three times until they get tired. Here, the lives of dinosaur cubs and human children are explored with grace.
YOU’D LIKE TO KNOW THAT… The book features only dinosaur species that lived in Brazil and provides additional information about each one at the end, including a simple scale to compare their size in relation to human beings. Here, literature, art, and the environment form a powerful triad in the education of children and young people, a resource used worldwide to promote the necessary environmental awareness by the guidelines of the UN 2030 Agenda and UNESCO. Getting to know Brazil’s dinosaurs is a way of getting to know our present and past fauna and appreciating our historical and natural heritage.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT… This book is friendly to readers with dyslexia, as the font used is Open Dyslexic, making reading more enjoyable for everyone. The text is in capital letters, which also helps readers who are in the process of becoming literate.
WHY READ IT? This is a dinosaur book that takes a fun approach to a subject that kids love: dinosaurs. It promotes reading aloud and dramatizing the text, making reading even more fun. Children will love discovering that one day dinosaurs, like all animals, were babies too, and will be even more interested to learn how they ate, slept, and learned…
