Eric Pawson is a professor of geography at the University of Canterbury. He is the author or coauthor of three books, coeditor of five more, and of many book chapters and articles in refereed journals. Tom Brooking is a professor of history at the University of Otago where he has taught for 34 years. He is the author of six monographs, two edited collections and one coauthored book, in addition to numerous essays, articles, and reviews.
