Hebrews is probably the least referred to letter in all of the ‘New Testament’ in Sunday morning services. It seems complicated at first, however, this book is designed to help sift through the phrasing by focusing on Jesus’ character. This is not an intellectual, academic, scholarly treatise to be studied. It is a readable, thought provoking view designed to engage the reader to develop his own relationship with Jesus. A good coach will challenge his athlete. This book is worded in a way to challenge you and encourage you. ‘This is God Speaking’ is a reflection on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, not the author of this book.
A propos de l’auteur
Pastor Glenn Vellekamp has been a counseling pastor for over forty years. Through living in different countries and involved in different denominations he has distilled his belief system down to the words of Jesus. He lives in Florida with his wife and enjoys six children and fourteen grandchildren. He still does Christian counseling at the outreach center for students, pre-marrieds, and marriage counseling. Although some have tried to label his views into one of the denominational boxes, you will find that his ideas are truly unique, yet compatible with Jesus’ teaching.
He has authored four other books through this same publisher, A View Worth Teaching ( pen name Tim Tyler), The Samaritan Woman You Never Knew, They Heard What They Thought He Meant, and Who is Jesus?
