Martin Aitken translates full-time from Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. His work has been widely published and includes novels by authors such as Kim Leine, Ida Jessen, Peter Høeg, Helle Helle and Karl Ove Knausgaard. He was a Finalist for a U.S. National Book Award 2018 and received the PEN America Translation Prize 2019, in both cases for his translation of Hanne Ørstavik’s Love.
