I was born in Belfast N. Ireland the daughter of a G.I. bride who married her husband in Charleston Carolina shortly after WWII. She was not all that happy living with my Dad after several years moving around to various jobs and not settling down and, being five months pregnant with me, she left and took my older brother and went back to Belfast. So, I was to grow up not knowing my father. I was to finally meet him when I was 27, when he came to visit me at last in Belfast. The following year, after we came for a vacation and met my family in the US, we decided to emigrate. We have been living in Walterboro, Carolina where my fathers family come from since then. I worked as a lab technician in our local hospital for 23 years up until 3 years ago when I retired aged 62. My husband Has been a professional driver for as long as weve lived in the US and for around 20 of those years worked in the wind energy field hauling windmills.
