Oscar Fingal O »Flahertie Wills Wilde (16 October 1854 30 November 1900) was an Irish poet and playwright. After writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, he became one of London »s most popular playwrights in the early 1890s. He is best remembered for his epigrams and plays, his novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, and the circumstances of his criminal conviction for « gross indecency », imprisonment, and early death at age 46. Henry Blake Fuller (January 9, 1857 July 28, 1929) was a United States novelist and short story writer. He was born and worked in Chicago, Illinois. He is perhaps, the earliest novelist from Chicago to gain a national reputation. His exploration of city life was seen as relavatory, and later in his life he was perhaps the earliest established American author to explore homosexuality in fiction. Bayard Taylor (January 11, 1825 December 19, 1878) was an American poet, literary critic, translator, travel author, and diplomat.
