Jakob Gaardbo Nielsen is a Ph D student at the Department of Comparative Literature at Aarhus University, Denmark. His Ph D project is entitled ‘Dirty Money and Indifferent Writing: A Comparative History of Finance in English and French Literature, 1797-1895’. He has published on Anthony Trollope and nineteenth-century British it-narratives, and is currently co-editing a special issue of Victorian Review on the topic of « Fraud and Forgery ».
