This volume contains eight chapters that describe recent advances in chemistry research. Chapter One brings new clues and bright ideas to researchers for future advances in dansyl-based chemosensors. Chapter Two discusses the use of citric acid (both solo and in conjugation with dopants) for the synthesis of carbon dots, the particles resulting thereof, their applications and potential development of novel technologies. Chapter Three aims to review the role that HPLC techniques play in the analysis of tea, addressing safety, characterization of bioactive substances, and authentication issues. Chapter Four lists out the simple and novel fluorescence probes for detecting environmental toxic anions and cations which have been developed in the last few years. Chapter Five shows the general concepts of green chemistry, their 12 principles and catalysis as a synthetic tool. Chapter Six provides a concise description of modern chalcone synthesis techniques, their fluorescence characteristics, and their biological uses as hybrid molecules. Chapter Seven examines the development of research on carbon particles through a bibliometric approach with computational mapping analysis using VOSviewer. Finally, Chapter Eight looks into the evolution of carbon in domestic waste through a bibliometric approach with computational mapping analysis using VOSviewer.
