John Atkinson Hobson’s ‘The Fight for Democracy’ looks at the state of British democracy after the First World War, outlining the various forces of capitalism, conservatism, militarism, imperialism, protectionist, and bureaucracy that stood in its way and had been strengthened by the conflict.
