For years Len’s friends have encouraged him to write his travel adventures for all to read. He is widely acknowledged as a ‘great story-teller’ and enjoys entertaining his friends with travel tales or delivering power-point presentations to select audiences.
Len’s first overseas adventure was as part of a delegation of New Zealand University graduates to People’s Republic of China in 1977 and he has been constantly traveling since then.
This book covers over 40 years of travel to over 35 countries. Len’s aim is to entertain and inform the reader and bring laughter to otherwise stressful situations.

Mr. Len has been a free-lance travel writer for the past 43 years. He has written articles for New Zealand and United Kingdom in-flight and travel magazines. Len has also produced three textbooks for use in the New Zealand Social Science curriculum. He has worked as a teacher of History and as a Programme leader escorting tours around New Zealand, Australia, Iran, Bhutan, Mongolia, Russia and along the Silk Road. Len has visited about ninety countries and is constantly in search of a new adventures. He prefers to get to the ‘tourist trail’. Len is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand but is rarely at home.
