Dr. Medalie is a Board-Certified Behavioral Sleep Medicine specialist. Dr. Medalie spent the past 10 years treating adults and children with insomnia at University of Chicago. She was on faculty with the Sleep Medicine Fellowship, offering a Behavioral Sleep Medicine rotation each year. She also trained residents in developmental pediatrics, neurology and psychiatry. She lectured regularly throughout campus, throughout the country and internationally, and serves as an expert in media interviews regularly. Dr. Medalie co-authored the book Putting Sleep Problems to Bed, Solutions for Children 0-18 years, as well as several textbook chapters and research papers.
Dr. Medalie holds a doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy D). She completed her internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, her research postdoctoral fellowship with the Harvard School of Medicine and clinical postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Diego. Dr. Medalie’s current role is founder of the nationwide virtual insomnia treatment service, drlullaby.com which provides insurance-covered BSM services from live Ph D’s, Psy D’s and physicians.
David Gozal, MD, MBA, Ph D (Hon)
Dr. Gozal is a leading world expert in the field of sleep medicine. He is known as a pioneer in the study of childhood sleep problems. An accomplished author and speaker, he has published more than 600 peer-reviewed articles, more than 150 book chapters and reviews, edited three books and has extensively lectured at scientific meetings around the world. He received his medical degree from Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also completed an internship. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University as well as from ESADE in Spain.
Kathryn Hansen
Ms. Hansen is the Executive Director of the Kentucky Sleep Society, the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and owner of Integration Consultants, LLC, a Healthcare Consulting firm working with Hospitals and Medical Practices to grow revenue and maintain compliance with Federal and State regulatory standards. Recently she has joined Sleep Education Partners, a company dedicated to meeting cost-effective electronic educational needs for professional Sleep Medicine providers. She collaborates with the American Society for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) legislative initiatives to draft changes to required credentials to perform Neurodiagnostic and Sleep Testing, and is a member of the ASET Governmental Advocacy Committee (GAC) who regularly monitor legislative and regulatory proposals that impact neurodiagnostic technologists.
Kathryn is Adjunct Faculty; Bluegrass Community and Technical College and Medtech College teaching Coding and Reimbursement (Outpatient and Inpatient), Computers in the Medical Office, Sleep Technology, and Anatomy and Physiology.
