Marjorie Bowen (1885–1952) was the pen name of Gabrielle Margaret Vere Campbell Long, a prolific British author known for her wide range of historical fiction and supernatural novels. She began her writing career as a teenager and published over 150 books throughout her lifetime, under various pseudonyms. Her work encompassed a variety of genres, including romance, mystery, and ghost stories, all marked by her distinctive style. Her notable works include ‘The Viper of Milan’ (1906), ‘The Sword Decides!’ (1939), and ‘The Bishop of Hell’ (1949).
