Andamooka Anna is the snarky sister of Andamooka Nanna and Barossa Nanna. All three are fictional figures based in South Australia.

Andamooka Anna’s creative collages centre on women’s lives and experiences. Essentially, ‘herstory’.

Andamooka Anna creates collages that question how to go about changing organisations, not women, to deliver structural reform that ensures equity for all women.

A perspective on a range of topics including Societal Misogyny, The Environment and Masculinity, Cultural Misogyny, Disability, Misogyny and Ageism, The Consequences of the Weapons Trade, Sustainable Fashion, Religious Misogyny, Resource Extraction and Masculinity, Judicial Misogyny, Political Equity, Economic Misogyny, Food Waste and Climate Change, Covid-19 and Social Equity, Medical Misogyny, Gender-based Violence and Environmental Misogyny.

A propos de l’auteur

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a far away place in the arid zone, three women met. They were working in different jobs, but all were working within social justice and community development programs. They became friends. They swam with dolphins before work in the summer. They camped among sand dunes and identified birds and explored the flora during the cooler weather. They travelled to even more remote places and felt grateful for their opportunities and their experiences.Eventually, they all left that place where their friendship started and moved to other places. Their friendship endured through the loss of other mutual friends, through personal illness and geographic distance.Nowadays, they are all retired from paid work. Two continue to volunteer in environmental and social justice organisations. And the other one? She creates collage books for children. This collage book, though, is for us, for feminism. Because, despite the years that have passed, we’re still activists, working towards creating equality for women and First Nations people. We’re still working towards sustainability; for the environment, for social justice.
