Chemical Engineering Process requires designing or optimising an overall process flow, the chemical engineer may move rapidly up and down the span of length scales. Chapter 5 addresses flow of multiphase mixtures which are far more complex problem of the flow of multiphase system in which the composition of the mixture may vary over the cross-section of the pipe or channel. Chapter 6 concentrates on flow and pressure measurement. Chapter 7 is devoted to mixing of liquids and particles. Chapter 8 focuses on pumping of fluids and gases. Chapter 9 describes the fundamentals of Engineering Heat Transfer practically all the operations that are carried out by chemical engineers involved in the production or absorption of energy in the form of heat. Chapter 10 deals with shell and tube heat exchangers. Chapter 11 focuses on thermal insulation which is the reduction of Engineering Heat Transfer between objects in thermal contact or in range of radiative influence. Chapter 12 addresses fundamentals of mass transfer. Chapter 13 discusses boundary layer. Chapter 14 is devoted to simultaneous momentum, heat and mass transfer. Chapter 15 focuses on humidification operations. All the chapters have been described step by step and in such a manner that students will grasp the topic very easily. Diagrams, figures, tables and appendices supplement the text. All the topics have been covered in a cogent and lucid style to help the reader grasp the information quickly and easily.
