Er studierte Angewandte Kindheitswissenschaften an der Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal (Bachelor) und Bildungswissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt Bildungssystemdesign an der Universität Magdeburg (Master). Michael Siegmund philosophiert seit vielen Jahren mit Kindern und Jugendlichen und ist Autor zahlreicher Bücher.
