Amit Joshi, Professor of AI, Analytics and Marketing Strategy at IMD, specializes in helping organizations develop and use AI capabilities to create value. An award-winning professor and researcher, he has extensive experience of AI and analytics driven transformations in industries such as banking, fintech, retail, services, automotive, telecoms and pharma. He is the co-author of GAIN: Demystifying Gen AI for office and home.He also advises start-ups on their strategies. At IMD, he is Director of the Executive Certificate in Digital Excellence and the Business Analytics for Leaders (BAL) open program. He is also Co-Director of the Generative Artificial for Business Sprint (GABS) and the AI Strategy and Implementation (AISI) programs. He was voted favourite professor of the MBA Class of 2024, featured in Poets & Quants.Amit’s research, which focuses on long-run marketing strategy, analytics and AI and Gen AI applications, has been published in top journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Culture, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, California Management Review, Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review.
