Nicholas F. Bellantoni is an associate adjunct professor in the anthropology department at the University of Connecticut and Emeritus Connecticut State Archaeologist at the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History. Bellantoni received the Award of Merit from the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation in 2011, Janet G. Jainschigg Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation, Dr. Sigmund Abeles Award in 2010, as well as the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection in 1998. He lives in Newington, Connecticut.
