This book examines key sociological theories that have contributed to the understanding of the nature of social work, its organisation and delivery. Lester Parrott is Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Keele University where he teaches and publishes in the area of social policy and social work. He is the author of ‘Social Work and Social Care’, a textbook on the relevance and relationship of social policy to social workers.
