When Detective Nadine Willis of the Washtenaw County Sheriffs Department begins to investigate the murder, she discovers that the family had already hired Cletus Macintyre, a local PI, to look for their daughter. Pat Smith is a retired systems programmer from the University of Michigan and currently resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife, Marla. When he is not writing novels, he plays jazz bass in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. This is his first book.
