Richard William Church (1815-1890) was raised in Italy until the age of 13. After he moved with his family to England he began attending Redlands school and graduated from Wadham College in 1836. Soon after, he became an Oriel College Fellow and joined the Oxford Movement. He was dean of St. Paul’s in London from 1871 until his death.
