The Calm Pond creatures are back, with some new members joining the gang!
The gang have been very busy, getting involved in lots of different escapades! The nine short stories cover such life qualities as patience, coping with exams, kindness, mindfulness, critical thinking, creativity, inclusion, courage and compassion.
‘Calm Pond’ was a top ten best seller in the ‘Short Stories for Young Adults’ category on Amazon.
Readers commented on its suitability for young children, and how it helped to facilitate discussion about important topics facing young people. Very importantly, readers found the stories both entertaining and the right length to catch and hold attention of young minds!

Richard Clarke was born in 1969, a proud Bradfordian. A trained PE teacher at Carnegie College in Leeds, he has spent over 30 years in the education sector. Most of his experience was as the Head of Pastoral in a large secondary school in Halifax.This is his second book. His first book, Calm Pond, reached the top ten in the Amazon Charts for short stories for young adults. He has been interviewed numerous times by BBC Radio and local newspapers.
