Kate Pickett ist Senior Lecturer an der University of York und forscht am englischen National Institute for Health Research. Sie hat Anthropologie in Cambridge studiert, Ernährungswissenschaften an der Cornell University und Epidemiologie in Berkeley, bevor sie vier Jahre Assistenzprofessorin an der University of Chicago wurde.
