Shyam is currently a post-doctoral researcher working in the field of hydrodynamics at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). From a city named Cochin, on the south-west coast of India, he moved to Paris at the age of 21, to do his Masters at École Polytechnique, before moving to Lyon where he carried out his doctoral studies. He is an ardent fan of P. G. Wodehouse, Albert Camus, Anton Chekhov, Bob Dylan, to name a few. Apart from having a penchant for writing, he enjoys dancing Salsa and Tango.
