"According to ecological cultural theory, research on the adaptation and support of families with special children needs to be rooted in the social and cultural context of our country. Culturally, our country is deeply influenced by Confucian thought, advocating for a harmonious society where ‘all the widowed, lonely, and disabled are provided for’ and a family-centric concept of ‘harmony brings prosperity to all affairs.’ These concepts profoundly affect the living environment of special children and their families. In terms of social development, our country is a developing country with a large population and unbalanced regional development, which also constrains the establishment and improvement of the support protection system for families with special children. Therefore, this study explores the adaptation of families with special children in the context of our country’s social and cultural environment, as well as the necessity and feasibility of implementing a family-centered service model in our country from the perspective of ecological cultural theory. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide a new theoretical perspective for the study of families with special children and offer valuable guidance and assistance for the improvement of the support system for families with special children."
