About the author
Frank Harris (1856-1931), born in Ireland, became an American citizen in 1921. Harris wrote biographies of Oscar Wilde and Shakespeare. His memoir, My Life and Loves, was notorious for its sexual explicitness. He fought with the government and the postal service over censorship of the book.
