Gene has been the senior pastor of Legacy Church for more than 20 years. Gene shares his teaching ministry with Legacy Church and the community as a resident fellow with B. H. Carroll Theological Institute in the areas of church leadership and New Testament studies. He also serves as an adjunct professor with Dallas Baptist University in the Graduate School of Leadership where he teaches Biblical Servant Leadership. Gene has authored Jesus on Leadership, My Identity in Christ, Paul on Leadership, and many other books. Gene earned his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and his master of divinity and doctor of philosophy in New Testament studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Gene and his wife, Kim, have two children and two grandchildren.
